What is an NS Record?

An NS (Name Server) record specifies which DNS servers are authoritative for a domain. When your browser visits a domain, it first queries the NS records; those servers are the authoritative source for all other DNS records (A, MX, TXT, etc.).

How to Change NS Records?

Log in to the control panel of the registrar where you purchased your domain. NS changes are always made through the registrar, not the DNS provider.

Enter the New Name Servers

Find the "Name Servers" or "DNS Servers" section in your domain settings and enter the NS addresses provided by your new DNS provider (usually at least 2).
